Franklin, Tennessee is a great place to live for raising a family. The Williamson County and FFSD school districts are among the best in the state. Franklin’s southern hospitality is among my favorite. Franklin is filled with historic history and fun activates though out the year Franklin Tennessee has something for everyone to do.

One of the top reasons families move to Franklin is because of the fantastic schools. Franklin has two school districts: Williamson County School and Franklin Special School District. Both districts are inside Williamson County. Franklin School District is dedicated to families inside of Franklin City limits. The FSSD serves Pre K- Eight grade; upon finishing eighth grade those students join Williamson County for high school. According to schooldigger.com in 2019, Franklin High School ranked better than 98.8% of high schools in Tennessee. It also ranked 2nd among 10 ranked high schools in the Williamson County School District. You will find that any school in either district is a great choice.

The City of Franklin was founded on October 26, 1799. The city of Franklin is named after the famous Benjamin Franklin. The Battle of Franklin was fought on November 30, 1864. More than 8,000 casualties occurred in Franklin. Practically every home and building in Franklin was turned into a makeshift hospital. Those times are now preserved with markers and grounds you can walk. Visiting Franklin you can see a mix of old-world charm with historic homes and battlegrounds to new restaurants and headquarters of worldwide companies.
